At Westside Kids, we are passionate about investing in CHILDREN. We present Biblical truths in accessible and creative ways, so that children can learn about the love of Jesus Christ. On Sunday mornings, kids will play games, sing songs, engage in crafts and activities, but most importantly, kids will be taught a Bible lesson geared towards their specific age group.

Ages 0-3

Westside provides a safe and secure atmosphere for young children, and we absolutely love taking care of the little ones.

k-5th grades

On Sunday Mornings, K-5th grades start together in a worship service geared for kids. Any given week the children could be playing games, singing songs and watching videos. After the large group finishes, the kids split of into age determined group in order to have a small group, age specific lesson and activity.

1. It's my child's first time attending Westside Kids, how will they know where to go or what to do?

At Westside Kids, we LOVE first time visitors. Check in with our Welcome Team at the Blue Tent and they will answer questions and escort you to the Westside Kids Sign-in. Our staff, teachers, and even students are trained to look for visitors and make an extra effort in welcoming, comforting and helping visitors.

2. My child is attending Westside Kids with a friend or family member who is in a different age group. Can they attend stay in the same group?

Our curriculum is age focused, so we encourage kids to attend the service with their appropriate age group. However, if  your child is uncomfortable attending their group alone, they may stay with their friend or family member; we just ask that both children attend the group for the youngest child. This allows both children to fully understand and engage in the lesson being taught.

3. As a parent, can I be my child’s classroom teacher?

Many parents are involved with their children in Westside Kids, and we are always excited to welcome new volunteers who love pouring into the lives of their children. If you would like to become more involved, learn more about the steps to becoming a Westside Kids volunteer here.

4. does westside kids provide toolS to help parents follow along with lessons?

Parents can download the "The Gospel Project" app to help them follow along with what their child (or children) is learning.

projecT

Westside Kids teaches the Gospel Project curriculum. The Gospel Project take kids on a Christ-centered, chronological journey through Scripture. Kids will discover how the gospel unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. When kids truly experience the gospel, their hearts are transformed. It is the gospel, not good behavior, that changes everything.
